Hi! My name is Mr. Garrido, and I'm the band and orchestra director here at GGHS. I began teaching at GGHS in the Fall of 2022, and have enjoyed developing the instrumental music program around the cornerstones of musical excellence, unity, integrity, and legacy. My classes and extracurricular groups include: the Marching Argonauts, Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra, String Orchestra, Beginning Strings, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Winter Drumline/Guard.

I grew up in San Diego, California, and moved to Orange County to complete my Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Clarinet Performance and Master of Arts in Teaching at Chapman University. During my time at Chapman, I performed as part of The Chapman Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Big Band, Clarinet Ensemble, and Woodwind Quintet, and cofounded Mariachi Panteras. I've also performed in various other bands and orchestras around Southern California, including Symphony Irvine and the Placentia Symphonic Band. I've worked with students at all levels of music, including Elementary, Middle, and High School at schools in Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Placentia-Yorba Linda, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove.
