Welcome to Garden Grove High School Athletics
Garden Grove High School is one of seven comprehensive high schools in the Garden Grove Unified School District. In athletics, GGHS is part of the Golden Empire Conference, made up of 15 different schools in Orange County. GGHS competes in 21 different sports and follows all rules and regulations of CIF Southern Section. All athletic information can be accessed through the Athletic tab above on this website. We look forward to seeing you out at our many sporting events.

Athletics Mission Statement
The mission of our campus is to provide opportunities for all student athletes to excel academically, athletically, and in the community. All staff, coaches, and administrators uphold our school’s motto of “Pride, Performance and Pursuit of Excellence '' while providing great experiences for our student athletes and their families. All athletes are expected to become lifelong learners who maintain a sense of pride in competing with their teammates for their school and community. All coaches, teachers, administrators and community members have the expectation of encouraging and inspiring all athletes in their pursuit of scholarship, sportsmanship, leadership and teamwork.

Sex Equity in Education Act Reporting
2023 – 2024
Pursuant to Education Code section 221.9, and beginning in the 2015-16 school year and every year thereafter, each school is required to publicly report information regarding its competitive athletics to include total enrollment at each school classified by gender; the number of pupils enrolled at each school who participate in competitive athletics classified by gender, and the number of boys' and girls' teams, classified by sport and by competition level. Please note that the data below reflects the total number of players on a team roster on the official first day of competition.
